the last first day

hi!

im sure the blogging world is clogged with first day of school posts right now!

(eww. clogged)

but, since this IS my last first day of school, i thought i would post!

 dont judge my awkward smile. its too early for my face to be warmed up

okay. so the day started out ROUGH. in a1 there is a boy that i am glad is in there, and a boy im seriously not so glad is in there

when i texted my little brother who was in my class he replied with this:
"sorry sis thats rough just stay away from him and if he gets too close throat punch him"

hahahahahahahaha. i almost burst out laughing in the middle of class

okay moving on!

a2 is chamber!!!!

it was lovely, even though we didnt sing

i got a look at this baby

it took me three hours

but it was worth it, because i think it looks beautiful! 

yeahhhh 

A3 is AP english 

and for the life of me, i could not find the classroom

good thing they have numbers or i would have been truant my first day!

then it was lunch!

we took a bathroom picture! 

lunch was excellent

thennn it was A4

spanish 3!

mr. heriford is hands down my favorite teacher

(maybe he's tied with mrs. mathews)

anyways, im one of 3 seniors in the entire class

ummmm yeah

my feet hurt from all day in these

my feet arent used to heels all day

after school, meg and i got our choir council hoodies

thennn i came home, got some caffeine, watched some alphas and then headed off to SECOND class

(but what about SECOND breakfast? i hope someone knows what that is from or i will cry)

anyways. for those of you who were really worried about my extra class, i am here to ease your heart

my teacher is super chill

she told us that she is going to make the class as easy as possible! 

peeps. the church is true

ahhhh 

so in total, the first day of senior  year was comprised of:

8 hours of class

6 disclosure documents

4 boys and two texts telling me i looked nice

1 really bad stomach ache

30 miles of freeway driving

48 ounces of diet coke

1 really delicious turkey sandwich 

1 really funny memory from sophomore year

2 blisters

1 awkward moment

9 other high schoolers in the pharm tech class

23341367 times pulling my pants up 

1 face truely lighting up (meg knows what i mean! )

hahaahahaa this year will be amazing

moving on! 

so. i have concocted (had a really hard time spelling that) a senior year bucket list

because, who doesnt want senior year to be the best?

okay. some of these are OUT there

but if they all happen, it will make for the greatest senior year in all of senior years

[] make a new friend in every class

[] go to every dance

[] get a full or part ride scholarship

[] wear everything i own at least once

[] get a big solo

[] go on a TON of dates

[] wear my hair naturally at least once a week

[] cry over graduating at least once

[] win best dressed

all of these have always been goals for me, but i really, really really really really REALLY want to win best dressed. it has been my dream since i started 9th grade and decided what high school i wanted to go to. none of you have any idea of how much i want to win it! i wanted to win it in 6th grade and i didnt. i wanted to win it in 9th grade and i didnt. so i have to win it in 12th grade. i want to sooooo badly!!! 

so dont worry, i will be sure to look cute every single day!

why hello!

yep. hello.

today marks the end of the last week of summer

*sigh*

i have thoroughly enjoyed this summer

and this last week has been fantastic!

monday and tuesday were choir days

chamber rehearsal on monday (we sounded amazing btdubs. im stoked for singing with them!)

choir council work day on tuesday

not to mention i went to the gym for sculpting class

im still sore

megan accompanied me to my weekly trip to seven peaks

(thats a gorgeous face you are making there, haley)

we went to jdawgs after (its kind of a tradition)

the attractive guy that works there told me that he recognized me from all the times i come in there

(is that good or bad?)

ha ummm

wednesday was a choir day as well

it was the chamber retreat!

and of course, i was the only person there who forgot my shirt

how embarrassing

we had a blast though!

later that day me and meg went thrifting at D.I. 

they have a LOT of old lady clothes there

but i did manage to find two gems 

total = 14 moneys

what beats that?

the dress, as meg said "looks like something lauren vancott would wear"

(which just means she has good style)

that night was the chamber pool party

no pictures, but it was really fun! 

thursday was the big hair dye day!

its a huge change!

its the first time ive had bangs like that since 9th grade!

it was way fun!

we went to the lehi trafalga, (which was much less awkward than last time i went) and mini golfed!

then we went to cafe rio

friday was family day

we went to a chinese buffet

can i just tell you, ive fallen in love with diet soda

yeah. its weird

but i cant drink sugar, so i drink diet

and i love it

its messed up

ha ummm 

after lunch we went to orem jr. to show nathan where all of his classes are

it was hecka weird being back there

flood of memories

not all good ones

9th grade was the worst year of my life

hah anyways

that night i hung out with sam, adam and jett

we went to classic

then we went to caseys

more memories

like, a LOT of memories

we were all sitting there, singing while casey played the piano

just like old times

weird. it was so weird.

saturday was tons of fun

sam, jett and i went boating

dont i look lovely 

but no, it was wicked!

i even went wake boarding

i think i pulled my arm muscles, but i still went! 

then, meg and i had a movie night! 

we watched 500 days of summer (my favorite movie of all time)

and we ate chips and drank diet soda

ive converted her to mountain dew

hey friends!

the past few days have been awesome!

on thursday i did stadiums with meg.

it was intense and amazing

and we had quite a sprint afterwards (:

hahahah tooo funny

ummm. that day i had lunch with julia and landen and zach.

julia is one of my bffs and she moved to california back in january

she came and visited!

i have seriously missed hanging out with that group of friends, we are all hilarious when we are together

plus, i was more tan than everyone there

friday!

went to 7 peaks again

it was cloudy, so it wasnt super fun

after the peaks, my brother and i headed up to salt lake to watch 12 kids

yeah, you heard me, twelve kids. all under 8. for five hours

needless to say, it was a blast

we were certainly kept busy

plus, i met a gorgeous returned missionary

ahhh. 

okay. moving on

saturday i went to forever 21 with julia and blew all my hard earned money on buy one get one free sale

im gunna have a rough time when i have an actual job

ill never have any money, but my closet will be stuffed

somehow, im okay with that

hahahah 

i went to dillards

got an amazing knit vest

im ridiculously excited for all of my new school clothes

okay. today we only had to go to sacrament meeting, so it doesnt even feel like sunday

buuut. we cut up the watermelon, and i used my new melon baller

its the coolest thing ever! 

(so it makes half balls, whatever)

guess what!

i stepped onto the scale yesterday

ever since i stopped eating sugar

(did i forget to mention that?i stopped on august first. im gunna go untill homecoming and if i dont get asked i will drown my sorrows in ice cream)

anyways, so since i stopped, i lost 4.5 pounds

holla! 

i almost started weeping i was so happy

right there in my bathroom

whilst i am extremely excited for chamber, im also really nervous!

i can barely read music, and every one in the class has these amazing musical abilities.

its intimidating!

buuut i am soooo excited for acapella

i finally get to sing with boys again!

aaand i get to wear robes and sing in a huge choir and be stuffed onto the risers with 130 other peeps

im excited!!!!

and! only the first semester is class, the second is a pharmacy internship (like at target!)

i know none of you care about my schooling, but it makes me feel better to talk about it!

mmk. so on saturday, guess what i did?

i put all of my school outfits together!

i absolutely love doing that

i even have a process!

i take all of my new school clothes and lay each piece out on the ground in my family room

then, i turn on a movie and stare at my clothes untill inspiration comes and i find the perfect way to fit them all into outfits using only my new stuff

its pretty much genius

anyways, this year took me a long time

i watched four movies trying to get them all together perfectly!

after the process, i have a page full of words something like this:

(p.s. i have worn something pink or white every first day of school since third grade (i didnt last year, but still))

wow i havent been on for a while!

i havent had much motivation to do anything lately

especially blogging

i actually have been doing quite a bit of stuff!

first of all, megan and i didnt go to cross country camp, so we went running every single day for 5 days!

we ran to kneaders and ate breakfast (5 miles)

we ran up the canyon! (6 miles)

we hiked the Y!




(please ignore my huge bum)

i went and saw the midnight premiere of batman

didnt go to bed untill 4:20 a.m.

ummm we found a snake! 

megan and i went thrifting at savers! 

weee had a blast! 

we both had huuuuuge piles of stuff to try on! 

i actually managed to find some really cute stuff! 

i went to burger supreme!

thats a lot of fry sauce....

ummmm i went school shopping

my favorite thing to shop for! 

at every single store i had a huuuuuuge pile of things to try on

i seriously have gained arm muscle from it (is that sad?)

but trust me, i have my best selection of clothes that i have ever had! 

thats perfect for senior year

also, i have decided that since i dont have to take another math class, im going to drop AP stats and take yearbook! 

i reaaaaalllyy want to be on yearbook, and if i dont need to take math, why make my life more stressful?

hahaha so yesterday i went to seven peaks and i was chilling with kaleb eating our slushies when i saw this guy walk up to these two girls tanning on their bikinis

he walks up to them and goes "hey, can you guys tell me how much a polar bear weighs?" and they look at each other like WTF. and he goes "enough to break the ice! hi, im josh." now, he was pretty attractive, and had a six pack, but that pick up line made me cringe. needless to say, he didnt get very far with those girls

today i went up to salt lake to go to the rack!

ahhh i loooove the rack!

i got a lot of pants (which i was in dire need of) 

i even got a pair of bootcut jeans

my first pair EVER

i have never worn anything but skinny jeans!! 

i also got an asymmetrical skirt for 11$ on clearance 

see that pile of stuff? thats about half of what was in my dressing room, and about a fourth of what i usually try on. strong arms! 

aaaand i found jb! 

p.s. see that vest? i wore it LAST august 1st! (holy crap, is it august already?!)
